The IIIF Mirador Viewer, developed by the International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF), displays beneath the image viewer for each asset. It provides additional viewing options that let researchers compare images from different repositories in a single viewer. Note that this feature does not display on audio/video or data-only records.

Click the Viewer button below the default image viewer to launch Mirador in a new tab. The viewer opens and loads the chosen asset. Note that this process can take up to a minute or more.

You can compare multiple non-sequential images from this site and/or any other repository using IIIF Mirador by adding additional viewing panes. Add these using the Add Resource button in the upper-left corner of the viewer.

To add a resource, paste the URL for the relevant asset's IIIF manifest. Click the Manifest button to access this for any asset. The manifest opens in a new window and displays as XML.

Back in the Mirador viewer, paste the IIIF manifest URL of the object you want to compare. Once the object's images have loaded, click any thumbnail, and your chosen image appears in the slot beside your initial object. You can select a different viewing option for each object in each slot.
